HMSA’s Central Diagnostic & Referral (CDR) Services are most often used by organizations that have internal Employee Assistance Program (EAP) staff. Our CDR services augment these internal EAPs when a referral for mental health and/or substance abuse treatment is clinically indicated.

Our CDR program will:

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment
• Determine differential diagnosis
• Coordinate benefits
• Help with placement into treatment
• Provide mid-treatment reviews
• Provide aftercare planning

The CDR will also coordinate treatment with your internal EAP representative for continuity when the employee returns to the job.

• Dedicated 800 number available to employees and their family members
• Dedicated CDR counselors
• Management consultations
• Interpreter services available in 140 languages
• Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
