HMSA’s management structure is streamlined, with short lines of communication between clinical staff, their managers and our senior management team. As your behavioral health partner, we function as your advocate to help ensure that your workforce is functioning optimally – free of the daily work-life challenges that can paralyze performance. Operational emphasis is placed on the clinical work we perform for your employees/members on your behalf.

HMSA is one of the last independent, privately held national behavioral health care Companies. We are not owned by nor affiliated with any pharmaceutical company, insurance company, hospital corporation or treatment company. It has been HMSA policy since its founding that no officer, staff member or employee, in any capacity, has any financial or other interest whatsoever, in any treatment facility to which an HMSA client might be recommended or referred. (No one is tapping our clinical staff on the shoulder to push mental health drugs, sell insurance policies, or fill inpatient/outpatient treatment program slots. You don’t have the added burden of safeguarding against obtrusive boards with competing agendas, skewed assessments, self-referral or the inappropriate activation of health care benefits.)
