Management Consultations
The workplace today is complex and provides unique challenges that managers and supervisors are faced with every day when dealing with a problematic employee.  As part of your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefit, HMSA provides consultations with a mastered degree clinician to assist with those challenges.
    
These confidential consultations will provide your managers/supervisors with:
  • Evaluation, support, coaching and recommendations to assist in facilitating a resolution
  • Coaching on difficult sensitive situations
  • Evaluation, support, coaching and recommendations on high risk workplace matters such as anger management, violence and sexual harassment.  
  • Provide guidance regarding “Last Chance” or “Return to Work” agreements
If a referral to the EAP is deemed appropriate the clinician will assist and coach the manager/supervisor of the referral process and help facilitate the appropriate level of referral.  

  • Informal referral (recommendation) – problem has not yet impacted job performance.  Referral is made as an early intervention.
  • Formal (mandatory) referral – problem has impacted the job performance.
